CoWorker Projects is pleased to present a night of storytelling and music in the West Village featuring the fiction/poetry of: William Burns Sean Damlos-Mitchell JB Fredkin Ben Janse Andrew Jimenez Andrew Jimenez & the music of Renol Ami. Tuesday, May 21st starting at 7PM at Entwine.
Will Burns is from Arkansas and recently graduated from the New School MFA writing program. He can wink with both eyes at the same time. Sean M. Damlos-Mitchell is just a soul whose intentions are good - he comes from Arizona, has just completed his M.F.A. in poetry at The New School, & lives in Brooklyn.
J.B. Fredkin is a California native. Currently, he lives in New York and is pursuing his MFA in poetry from The New School. He is the past editor of the Santa Clara Review and an ex competitive Olympic weightlifter. As a poet J.B. wrestles with gravity. He grasps the weight of situations and forces them forward onto the page. There he creates an eloquent violence. His chapbook is entitled Real Men and he is thrilled to read here tonight.
Ben Janse is a writer whose stories often come true. He's credited with the downfall of Atlantis, The Roman Empire, and the early 23rd century Yukon Empire. He has won third place in Glimmer Train's Short Story Award and is working on a novel about railbikes, camouflage, living in the jungle, paradox, trees that grow over things, and infinity.
Andrew Jimenez is a recent graduate of the New School MFA writing program. He has friends and a job and he just wants to live a normal life so please leave him alone already! Also, he is writing a novel about time travel. He resides in Brooklyn.
Renol Ami is a solo musician armed with looping pedals, a guitar and a drum machine. The music ranges from softer folk sounds to indie rock and some have described her vocals as haunting.
