CoWorker Projects is pleased to present a selection of Trong Gia Nguyen's video works, including “Artists Commercials”, “Grrrilla Girls Gone Wild”, and “Sonic Godiva”.
Nguyen is a Brooklyn-based artist whose wide-ranging projects investigate structures of power as they relate to the whims, tendencies and dynamics of art and culture, socio-politics, religion, economics, humanism, and consumerism. Recent solo exhibitions include: Coleman Burke Gallery (New York), Galerie ZK (Berlin), Galerie Quynh (Ho Chi Minh City), Fruit & Flower Deli (New York). Group exhibitions include: “The Sixth Borough” (No Longer Empty, Governors Island) “Satellites in the Night” (Freies Museum Berlin), “Sequences” (Safn/Dwarf Gallery, Iceland), “9th Havana Biennial” (Cuba), “Performa 05” (Artists Space, New York). Trong has received grants and residencies from LegalArt Miami, Museum of Arts & Design, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Harvestworks Digital Media Center, Bronx Museum of the Arts, and Puffin Foundation.
