Unspoken Dialogue

Tuesday, March 3-8

· Skylight at Moynihan Station

The group exhibition Unspoken Dialogue which is part of this year curatorial spring break art show, Transaction, will feature New York based contemporary artists who reinterpret, diversify, or extend the limits of the transactional communication by searching for new materials, medium, and collaboration. Focusing on collaboration, interactive, and multi-layered works, Unspoken Dialogue will examine questions of transaction of the contemporary forms of communication between individuals. In collaboration with his subjects, and often with the other participant, the artist projects his reaction in relationship with his own culture, education, background, attitudes, and daily life experiences to the modern transactions between individuals. At the time where the face to face or traditional communication seem to be losing the personal touch or necessity, a new way of communication or transaction between individuals finds its way.

The featured artworks not only innovate the transactional exchange between individuals, but also articulate the diversity of mediums, affiliations, and subjectivities existent in contemporary way of communication. These transactions in the form of artistic works chosen for this show reveal the poetic possibilities of such gaps, errors, and miscalculations.
